Pop culture references? Cool rocks on the trail? Your favorite playlist? You bet I will use them all in our work together, and I will flex when certain approaches aren't landing. I do not have a one-size-fits-all style, which allows me to be more attuned to your needs in the moment.

Healing happens best when you have space to breathe...

Depression

When you’re feeling heavy and stuck, sometimes a change of scenery is the best medicine. I’ll get you moving—literally—to help you dig deeper and break through that 'stuck' feeling, so you can reconnect with a sense of energy and hope.

Fun Fact: Research shows that walking outside significantly reduces rumination on depressive thoughts and lowers activity in one region of the brain linked to depressed mood.

Anxiety

When Anxiety has you spinning up, nature has a way of pulling you back down to earth. As we walk, the sights and sounds of the trail can help quiet the 'what-ifs' and the 'shoulds,' making it easier to catch your breath and feel grounded again.

Fun Fact: Spending time in green spaces is proven to lower cortisol levels and heart rate, effectively 'resetting' your nervous system and reducing the physiological symptoms of stress.

ADHD

Nature is a restorative environment for a busy mind. Walking intensives provide the physical movement and varied sensory input needed to naturally regulate, focus, and soothe mental buzzing, allowing for deeper insights without the constraints of sitting still.

Fun Fact: Attention Restoration Theory suggests that natural environments allow our 'directed attention' to rest and recover from the mental fatigue and overstimulation of daily life

Trauma

Healing from the past is hard work, and sometimes an office can feel stifling. Being outside gives us 'breathing room' to process things at your pace. Nature’s big enough to hold the heavy stuff with us, while helping you feel grounded and safe enough to do the work.

Fun Fact: Studies indicate that nature-based therapy can calm the limbic system—the brain's emotional center—making it easier for trauma survivors to safely reconstruct their stories without feeling overwhelmed.

Spirituality

The outdoors has always been a space for deep reflection and connection to something larger than ourselves. In nature, spiritual exploration isn't just a conversation—it’s an experience of oneness and peace that helps you find your own internal guiding light

Fun Fact: Experiences in nature frequently invite 'awe', a psychological state shown to increase feelings of empathy, social connection, and a sense of being part of something larger than oneself.
