Outdoor Therapeutic Groups
Support when you feel you've lost your sense of self from others who have been there.
The Journey Home
Have you felt like your identity has been co-opted? Lost? The Journey Home is an Outdoor Therapeutic Group in response to the modern identity crisis. At its core, it is a reminder that- even when we feel adrift- we are not alone.
Below are a variety of "identities" that we sometimes get lost in- if any resonate with you, click on the link below to get on the waiting list for the next group! Dates will be available soon.

01
Motherhood
Motherhood literally changes our brains. The evolutionary imperative to keep our offspring alive takes a huge toll on our mental and physical health and, ultimately, our identities. This group is perfect for anyone who has experienced how becoming "mom" meant burying or losing other meaningful parts of you.
02
Fatherhood
Being a Father is hard work. There is immense cultural pressure to be both a breadwinning professional and an emotionally available father and husband, even if you were not given an example of what any of that looked like. This group is for fathers who were directly or indirectly told that becoming "Dad" meant that you no longer got to seek your own happiness, too.

03
Military / Veterans
The military is more than a job: it is a lifestyle. It encompasses and dictates how you live, where you go, and what priorities you show up for. Maybe you still think in acronyms. If you are serving or have served and don't know where your military persona ends and where you really begin, this group is for you.
04
Military Spouses
Military spouses are the first line of defense against the difficulties the military puts active-duty personnel through. It is hard to remain flexible when you aren't sure where you are moving, when your partner will be home from overseas, or who your emergency contact will be at your child's next school. The pressure to "hold down the fort" in new places with minimal personal support of your own takes a toll. This group is for military spouses who have had to be "put together" and "flexible" for so long that they have lost touch with their own wants and needs.

05
Peri/Menopause
Perimenopause can make you feel like an entirely different person. Physical symptoms are interrupting your sleep, hormones are making you feel more deeply than you may have ever felt, and the resulting emotional waves come on so quickly and powerfully that you don't know how to stop them. This is a group for those who feel their sense of self is being slowly unraveled by their changing bodies.
06
Toxic Relationships
Toxic and abusive relationships shake us to our core. They can have us questioning who we are, who we were, and whether an abusive partner was "right" about us. The damage lives on in how we see ourselves, and it is a long battle to undo those narratives. If you feel adrift after surviving a toxic relationship and are hoping to rediscover your strength and sense of self, this group is for you.

07
Grief
Grief has a way of breaking us open and leaving us there for a long while. Trying to find ourselves while also trying to understand the context of a world where a job, a person/being, a relationship, or even a sense of home or safety no longer exists can feel impossible. Further, we feel pressure to rush through our grief so we can "be normal" again. This is a group for those who want to start exploring a new normal after (and perhaps still are) experiencing grief, in their own time.
08
Professional Burnout
Washington State is home to many fast-paced industries: tech and video games, aerospace, commerce, and the military are just a few that employ thousands in the area. And they. are. exhausting. The hours and the demands of professionals are creating burnout at remarkable levels, with very little space for recovery. This is a group for individuals who feel burnt out and hope to reconnect with who they are beneath their work persona.

09
Spiritual Seekers
Humans are spiritual beings: we are connected through forces that we cannot always explain exclusively with science. When that sense of wonder and awe is damaged through religious trauma, spiritual bypass, or condemnation, it can feel like losing a limb. This is a group for those who would like to explore whatever is bigger than us and find their personal spiritual understanding with the support of other seekers.
